How can I be saved? This question is so frequently asked by many and was asked in Bible days. The answer is simple. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. (Acts 16:30-32.)
There are many more scriptures that make this clearer. In John 3:16 Jesus said, 'For God so loved the world that, he gave us His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.' Acts 4:12 also says, 'Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under the heaven given among man, by which we must be saved.'
If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and will believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. (Romans 10:9&13) Man is a sinner by nature and cannot save himself. But God who is rich in mercy has made a way for your salvation through his son Jesus Christ. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23.)
Romans 6:23 says, 'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord.' Ephesians 2:8 also says, 'For you are saved by grace through faith, it is not yourself; it is the gift of God.'
When Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, those who heard him were pricked in their hearts and they asked, "...what shall we do?" Peter said unto them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:37-38). After you believe, the next thing you do is to take His name in baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He that believes and is baptised shall be saved but he that does not believe shall be judged. (Mark 16:16.)
The disciples of Jesus were commissioned in Matthew 28:19, "Go and teach all nations baptising them in the NAME of the father, and of the son and of the Holy Ghost." That NAME is the Lord Jesus Christ. You have to be baptised to His death so that as Christ rose from the dead, you will also be raised to walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:3-4.)
If you want to be saved, believe on Him right now and by faith believe from now on that you are His. Pray this simple prayer of faith. "Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I repent and confess my sins. I believe that you died for me and rose again for my justification. I take you into my heart as my Lord and personal saviour. I will be baptised in your name. Fill me now with your Holy Spirit. I receive these blessings with joy in my heart. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen!" Now it is finished. You are saved. You are one of them now. You are a child of the king. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away behold all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17.)
