Brother Joseph M Chikosi was born in a family of 14 children and raised up in a United Methodist believing home. His mother Grace Chikosi was a renowned member in the United Methodist Church, where she was a preacher and youth advisor. It is to his mother that Pastor Chikosi credits his faith and trust in the Lord, as she was a beacon and true example of Christianity in his life. She is now a born again message believer. Brother Joseph is married to Sister Annie and they have 7 children, four girls and three boys who are all serving the Lord and are an active part of his ministry.
Though he grew up as a christian and active church member with a holiness background, he had never got a personal experience with the Lord. It was in 1977 while he was at college, that the Lord touched his life at a youth camp meeting. He repented, was born again and filled with the Holy Ghost. He started testifying in market places, buses, trains, colleges, schools and wherever he got an opportunity. God led him to the End Time Message as preached by William Branham. He accepted the Message of the Hour and was baptised in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and later started preaching.
In 1981 he became pastor of a small group of believers in the eastern city of Mutare. By 1987 a beautiful sanctuary, Bible Believers Tabernacle had been constructed. Pastor Chikosi has helped start and ignite several other message church assemblies in the country and beyond its borders.
Pastor Chikosi has been mightily used of God in many ways to manifest the supernatural element of the gospel. A powerful and Holy Ghost anointed preacher, he has been in the ministry for more than 25 years and has ministered to many nations in the world. He is still involved in evangelistic ministry worldwide. He is pastor and founder of Bible Believers in Mutare and Harare, which are constantly increasing. Though he does the work of a pastor, his other calling is to evangelise and be a missionary of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this regard he gives merit to the ministers who assist him always.
